We pride ourselves on providing sustainable operations and services by recycling 90% of the waste we collect and also by offsetting our operational emissions by investing in carbon neutral initiatives. We also provide options for our clients to offset their waste by buying carbon credits when disposing with us. This can help executives achieve net zero outcomes when working with us.
Currently, we are investing in the Yarra Yarra biodiversity project.
How does it work?
We are able to do this through our collaboration with Carbon Neutral, an organisation that offers carbon reduction, offset and carbon credit solutions for Australian businesses.
Our clients can choose to opt in on each junk removal project and pay per tonne of waste to offset operational carbon emissions. This goes for each waste type, across all businesses and operations.

At Melbourne City Rubbish we have a firm commitment to ensuring all our work and waste removal is sustainable and minimises environmental impact.
- Reusing or re-purposing unwanted products where possible.
- Recycling using registered recycling depots.
- Providing the option for our clients to choose carbon neutral waste disposal - not available with any other Sydney rubbish removal provider.
- Disposing of waste which cannot be reused or recycled to licenced and EPA accredited waste disposal facilities to be used as landfill.
- Using environmental protection measures such as sand bags and drain guards to avoid material entering the stormwater system.
- Cleaning up thoroughly after our work to ensure that no material enters our stormwater, beach or river systems.
- Using vehicles with Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) systems which stop harmful diesel emissions entering the atmosphere.
